My Story

I come from a small town in the north-east of Lithuania. Trees and nature have been close to me since childhood. We lived on the outskirts of the town, on Oak Street, and nearby there was a lake and a forest.

Strong, mighty oak trees made a big impression on me, because you could completely hide behind them. In the autumn I would collect acorns and take them to my maternal grandparents in the village, because the pigs loved them very much, and I would get money from my grandfather. He was a master of all trades. He wove wicker baskets; he was a shoemaker who repaired and sewed shoes; he played the harmonica, and composed and sang short songs.

My father was a carpenter; he made furniture and everything needed from wood. That’s why I remember the smell of shavings in his workshop even now. And my father’s father was a skilled farmer, a horse lover.

So, I inherited a little bit of everything – I make furniture and household items, I write poetry, I do sports and play tennis and I love God, who allows me to do all this.

I completed my studies in Interior and Furniture Design at the Technological University Dublin. I live in Ireland; I love this beautiful country and I am grateful to its people who sheltered me.
